Hours: 9:30am - 3:30pm, rot days, Monday - Friday

Cape Cod Healthcare is the leading provider of healthcare services for residents and visitors of Cape Cod.  With more than 450 physicians, 4,700 employees, and 1,100 volunteers, Cape Cod Healthcare operates two-acute care hospitals, the Cape's leading provider of homecare and hospice services (VNA), a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility (JML Care Center), an assisted living facility (Heritage at Falmouth), the Cape's only local laboratory service (CCHC Laboratory Services) and numerous health programs.  We are currently seeking a dedicated Registered Clinical Dietician to join our team at Cape Cod Hospital.



To provide nutritional counseling services to patients and families in coordination with cardiac rehabilitation protocols and concepts.



1.      Provides educational classes on various aspects of the cardiac diet.

2.      Assists patients in diet modification to reduce cardiovascular risk, maintain dietary restrictions, and achieve ideal weight. 

3.      Answers questions concerning diet and nutrition.

4.      Completes comprehensive nutritional analysis and individual dietary consultation per request of the physician.

5.      Provides discharge dietary instructions and referrals for further instructions for patient and family members.

6.      Provides one on one private consultation with the patient and family when warranted for diet modification strategies as needed.

7.      Assists program staff in monitoring patient progress toward nutritional goals.

8.      Performs other work related duties as assigned or requested.


Consistently provides service excellence to all patients, family members, visitors, volunteers and co-workers in a manner that reflects Cape Cod Healthcare's commitment to CARES: compassion, accountability, respect, excellence and service.



·         Ability to read, write and communicate in English.

·         Graduate of an accredited dietician program with a Bachelor of Science degree.

·         Successful completion of an Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (formerly ADA) approved dietetic internship.

·         Registration with the Commission for Dietetic Registration (formerly American Dietetic Association) required.

·         Licensure with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for Clinical Dietitians within 1 year of hire.

·         Previous experience in a cardiovascular clinical area preferred.

·         Knowledge in all aspects of medical nutrition therapy, particularly related to cardiac disease.

·         Effective communication skills.
