Line Cook is responsible for preparing wholesome, nutritious meals in alliance with established menus.


Key Responsibilities:.




  • Prepares and serves well prepared, wholesome breakfasts, lunches, dinners and snacks.
  • Prepares food for special diets and special requests.
  • Prepares meals for freezer storage that may be used in cook’s absence.
  • Ensures that the kitchen is clean following each meal.
  • Inventories and stores the foods that are delivered.
  • Follows regular schedule of washing floors, cleaning refrigerators,cleaning stoves, organizing and arranging pantries, shelves and freezers.




  • Actively participates in kitchen meetings.
  • Other related duties as requested

Qualifications:            High School Degree or GED. One year nutrition or cooking background required. Knowledge of meal planning required. Residential cooking experience preferred. Valid Driver’s License.




Latham Centers provides residential care and treatment to boys and girls with severe emotional and behavioral problems as well as children and adults with Prader-Willi Syndrome.  Latham Centers is a leader in the treatment of Prader-Willi Syndrome and is currently the only program in New England providing treatment and support to children and adults with the disorder.
